(Irish: Margadh na Feirme, meaning “Farm Market”) is an area on the northside of Dublin. Its focal point is a public square, formerly an open market, now officially called Smithfield Plaza, but known locally as Smithfield Square or Smithfield Market.
Smithfield Square is just a short walk from O’Connell Street, Capel Street, Henry Street, Parnell Street and the Quays.
To get to the Family Day Festival, you could take Luas. The closest stops on the Red Line is Smithfield which will leave you right on the Square. Find details of operating times and frequency of trams.
